UVERworld

adalah band yang beranggotakan 5 orang, yaitu Takuya (vokalis), Akira (gitaris), Katsuya (gitaris), Nobu (bassis), dan Shintarou (drummer) dibentuk pertama kali tahun 2003, dan dikenal sebagai Sound Goku Road, lebih populernya "Sangoku Road". Band ini sebenarnya beranggotakan 7 orang, dan merilis CD Demo yang akhirnya terjual sebanyak 3.000 copy. Tidak beruntung, satu dari anggota band, Seika sang saxophonist meninggalkan group (yang lain, Hiko, keluar setelah dia menikah). Setelah kepergiannya, Ace Trigger mengganti namanya sendiri menjadi Takuya dan mengganti nama bandnya menjadiUVERworld.

2005 adalah tahun band tersebut ditandai dengan label rekaman gr8!, perusahaan rekaman dibawah perusahaan Sony Music. Band ini membuat debutnya dengan single "D-tecnoLife", yang disajikan sebagai pembuka kedua anime BLEACH. Setelah 3 bulan single kedua UVERworld, "CHANCE!" dipakai sebagai tema game PSP BLEACH: Hit The Soul 2 dan telah menjadi single terakhir yang dirilis tahun 2005.

 Oricon Chart

Tanggal 25 Januari 2006, "just melody", single ketiga band ini meraih posisi #17 dalam Oricon Chart(Chart/tatanan lagu di Jepang). Tiga minggu kemudian album pertama UVERworld,Timeless dirilis, dan memecahkan top 10 pada posisi #5 dan terjual 60.000 copy. Seika ikut ambil bagian selama album ini, memainkan saxophone untuk track ke-5, Yasashisa no Shizuku. Setelah 3 bulan istirahat, UVERworld merilis "Color of The Heart" sebagai tema pembuka BLOOD+, seri anime disamping film animasinya, BLOOD+:The Last Vampire. Single ini didebut pada posisi #3 dan menjadi posisi tertinggi yang pernah diraih UVERworld saat itu. Single kelima mereka, berjudul SHAMROCK telah dirilis pada tanggal 2 Agustus 2006 dan telah dipakai sebagai tema penutup J-Drama Dance Drill, acara tentang grup pemandu sorak cewek. Single ke-6 UVERworld telah dirilis pada tanggal 15 November 2006, berjudul "Kimi no Suki Na Uta", yang digunakan sebagai lagu tema acara TBS TV Koi Suru Hanikami! atau Honey Coming! dari Oktober sampai Desember. Itu adalah balada pertama UVERworld yang dirilis sebagai sebuah single, dan meraih nomor ke-2 dalam Oricon Chart (posisi tertinggi untuk single UVERworld sejauh ini) hingga turun ke nomor 3 dan beberapa minggu kemudian. Single tersebut terjual sebanyak 70.000 copy menurut Chart penjualan Oricon.

BUGRIGHT

Pada tanggal 21 Februari 2007, UVERworld merilis album kedua mereka yang berjudul BUGRIGHT. Memadukan antara single UVERworld yang telah dikeluarkan setalah perilisan Timeless, dan juga menggabungkan lagu mereka "~Nagare-Kukyo-THIS WORD~", yang digunakan untuk soundtrack film "The songs for DEATH NOTE the movie ~The Last Name TRIBUTE~".

PROGLUTION

Usahanya yang lalu berjudul PROGLUTION telah dirilis pada tanggal 16 Januari 2008 dan menampung penuh 18 judul lagu yang menggabungkan single terbarunya Ukiyo Crossing, Endscape, dan Shaka Beach ~Laka Laka La~, yang diluncurkan dalam 2 bentuk, hanya versi CD dan edisi terbatas CD+DVD. PROGLUTION terjual sekitar 150.000 copy.

Gekidou/Just Break The Limit!

11 Juni dilihatlah perilisan single Gekidou/Just Break The Limit!. Gekidou telah dipakai sebagai tema pembuka keenam anime berseri, D. Gray-man, ketika lagu Just Break The Limit! telah dipakai sebagai lagu pendamping POCARI SWEAT's CM. Dua single yang lain dirilis tahun 2008, yaitu Koishikute dan Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi. Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi dipakai sebagai pembuka untuk musim kedua anime Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Single ini menjadi band pertama yang menduduki posisi nomor 1 di Oricon.

 

Pada tanggal 18 Februari 2009, mereka merilis album terbarunya yang berjudul AwakEve. Album ini terjual sekitar 115.000 copy di minggu pertamanya dan meraih posisi ke-2 di chart album Oricon.
